Reason For Purchase
I bought Saber a Weatherbeeta Parka 1200D Deluxe Dog Coat, because the Ancol coat I had for him last year proved to be inadequate as far as waterproofing goes. While searching the internet I found Weatherbeeta dog coats. I decided on a Weatherbeta Parka 1200D Deluxe Dog Coat. I have to say that the dog coat is more for my convenience rather than Saber’s. It takes forever and loads of towels to dry his long thick coat after a walk in the rain. This negates that job, thankfully.
The coat was reasonably priced but as I needed some other bits and pieces I headed over to Viovet . To my surprise the same coat was on offer for quite a bit less. So I bought one knowing winter was coming and the heavy rains typical in th UK would be sure to follow.
The Weatherbeeta Parka 1200D Deluxe Dog Coat can not fail to impress it is very well manufactured and the materials are top class. I had ordered a 70Cm length coat for Saber as the Ancol had fit fine and was of the same size.
The fit was perfect for Saber and again I was very impressed with how it went on him and the look of the coat. The Velcro side straps are secure and fasten easily and securely. The elastic loops at the back of the coat go over the rear legs to hold the coat down in the wind.
It wasn’t long before I got chance to test how waterproof the coat really was. It really performed well. When I got home after walking Saber in a downpour, I found him to be dry everywhere the coat had covered him. The belly plate had protected his chest from spray and the coat only took a good shake to remove the rain from it.
I have taken Saber to pet shops and tried on many waterproof coats with him. I find most to be cheaply made and look terrible on. The Weatherbeeta coats are in a class of their own. I would not fail to recommend them wholeheartedly.
I for one am really glad I got it. Do you have any recommendations let us know in the comments section.
