This is a small review of a new torch I bought the Ledeak T6 Upgrade L2 CREE,1200 Lumens LED Torch.
Strange I hear you say writing about a torch on a dog blog. Well not really I am sure that in the UK most people carry a torch when walking the dog. In winter the mornings are dark and so are the early evenings. The Ledeak T6 Upgrade L2 CREE,1200 Lumens LED Torch came to my attention while searching for such an accessory to walk Saber on just these occasions.
So why the Ledeak T6 Upgrade L2 CREE,1200 Lumens LED Torch and not some other unit? well it comes neatly packaged in a plastic box, has a 18650 Rechargeable Battery plus a charger for said battery, a belt carrier for the torch plus a bicycle mount. If that isn’t enough the Torch also comes with a holder to use three AAA batteries to power it.
The cost of the torch is only £13.99 so not a bank breaker at all for what you get.

The torch itself seems well made and is solid to the feel, it has an aircraft grade alloy body with military grade hard-anodized clip slot to endure rough handling. IP-X6-rated waterproof and designed for using in heavy rain something we get a lot of here in the UK. It also has a XM-L2 LED bulb with a claimed output of 1200 lumens. I can’t attest to the actual output but this thing is very very bright very handy for finding the little “presents” Saber leaves in the dark.
The orange button on the bottom of the torch doubles as the mode switch also. One full press turns the torch on and then subsequent half presses cycle through the 5 modes. These are high brightness, medium brightness, low brightness, strobe and lastly S.O.S.I have been using the torch on high and medium more than enough for a walk in dark places. I should think the strobe mode or high mode would temporally blind someone if shone in there eyes so caution is advised.
The battery is lithium ion and has a sleeve to be used when inserting the 18650 unit. This sleeve is not used when the AAA convertor is used.
The torch is zoomable and this is achieved by sliding the bulb housing outwards or inwards depending on where you want the intensity of light to sit, wide or narrow.
Although I have only been using this torch for a short period of time, I have found it to be reliable and robust, if anything changes on that front I will update this post accordingly.
The Ledeak T6 Upgrade L2 CREE,1200 Lumens LED Torch carries a 12 month warranty from Vockvic UK. I have had contact with the seller and can attest that they are very quick to respond to any questions or problems that may arise.
I know I am not alone in thinking this torch is very good as it has 1,452 customer ratings on Amazon.
Would I recommend the Ledeak T6 Upgrade L2 CREE,1200 Lumens LED Torch
Well so far I would, I have absolutely no reason not to. it does exactly what it says it does and although the plastic box it comes in is not of the highest quality, it does make it easy to keep things together.
I found the bicycle mount very handy, as I can fasten it on my selfie stick and attach the torch to it, useful for taking photos of Saber in the dark.
All in all I am very happy with my purchase and will continue to be until something proves me wrong.
